I’m relatively young and didn’t grow up in Canada so my actual experience with hockey cards in nil. But as a hockey (history) fan this book is really fun. Heard Reid talk about it on a podcast and decided to buy it cuz why not. The book itself is really nice with a matte cover, vibrant colors and thicker paper. I leave it out on my coffee table and it’s always a conversation starter when I have company over.
I am really enjoying this book and am about half done. This brings back many memories since I had some of these cards way back when I was a kid.
Very interesting and entertaining stories of hockey players as told by the photos and information on their trading cards. Present day interviews with the players bring their stories up to date.
The author has great insight into the players on the cards. If you like hockey or sports personalities, this book is a fun read.
Great storytelling!
Excellent book for anyone who had a hockey card as a youth.
You will like this, especially if you like interesting information about lesser known players.
