The picture above happens to be from the meal program that lies at the core of this book. I have had the privilege of serving this meal with Brenda. I ran into her recently and she mentioned that a minor character in the book was modeled on me.Okay. I broke my rule about reading Women's Fiction and bought the book to see how she painted me.To say I was a minor character would be very accurate. To say that Brenda captured our efforts to serve the homeless and lonely in the community would be an understatement.Thoroughly, and thoughtfully, researched and written, this story warmed my heart more than I can describe. The romance and other elements (no spoilers from this reader!) were well laid in to the major story. I was able to see the kitchen, hear the conversations, and taste the cold air as her characters walked the homeless encampments.I am truly honored that she lavished this love on a program dear to my heart by writing an absolutely magnificent book.I recommend this book to all readers of Christian fiction, and most heartily endorse it for anyone interested in the problems of serving the homeless in an urban environment.Bless you, Brenda, for this magnificent tribute to God working through his servants.
Dani and Astin’s story is truly remarkable. Dani was brought up with everything she ever wanted. Austin struggled to protect and help his sister. When Dani gets in trouble and has to work with Austin both of their lives will change. Was how much these two try to help the homeless people in this story is truly amazing. The characters in this book are all very special people. You won’t be able to stop reading this book. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review l I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could. Truly inspirational story. You will feel God working throughout the whole book.
Another wonderful book in The Potter’s House series. This one, as all the others, exemplifies true Christianity service. I love how all the writers have taken everyday situations and shown that with God all things are possible. What man thinks is impossible, God turns the situation around for the good.
I was given an ARC copy to read and what a blessing this storyline was to me, shows depth, how we can change in our perception of people and circumstances, Brenda Anderson blew this i be out of the park. A must read for anyone who loves to get lost in a book and what in different shoes!
This is a book that once you start reading it you can't put it down. This book has suspense, drama and romance and is very well written. I recommend this book to everyone.
What a wonderful and amazing God we serve this story is great showing His love by serving and being no respecter of persons
