This book is just to compilation of the stories about Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase and their first meetings of Carter and Sadie Kane, and the various adventures they each undergo (e.g. Percy and Carter, Sadie and Annabeth, and all four together), to stop a great and ancient enemy who is mixing Greek and Egyptian magics to ultimately rule the world. So if you have already purchased the individual stories (like I did), you don't need to purchase this one, unless you really want to. Still a great purchase if you haven't read these stories separately, and worth the buy.
As a person who loves Percy Jackson and the Kane Chronicles, reading about two of my favorite characters coming together made me extremely happy. I had been meaning to buy this book for a while, but never got around to it until recently and it was a very good decision. I had already read the Son of Sobek before but never Annabeth and Sadie's encounter nor the end result of the clash of Egyptian and Greek lifestyles so I was pleasantly surprised with the book.
I was really sad with the way these short stories went. There is potential for a great series here, and it felt very half hearted. they are fun quick reads like most of this authors work. There were allusions to some of this in his newest series with the Norse Gods and I was hoping these books would bring it all together.
I love all of Rick Riordan's books. This is no exception. Funny and full of surprises.
Only down side it took a month to get here! Then my son loved it so much he finished it in two days lol
I was expecting a book like the others in the series, this was 3 short stories in a small compact book. Which was fine but not the content we're used to.
Son who looks Rick Riordan a and the both the Kane Chronicles and Percy Jackson series loved the crossover!
This was an awesome book, I finished reading it and I recommend it to those who like both Percy Jackson & the Olympians and The Kane Chronicles.
