I have just begun to use several of the recipes from this Wheat Free Cookbook. While I am someone who is able to eat wheat, I was intrigued by the title of the book to see options that are available. I have begun with the quinoa recipes as this is a grain I very much enjoy. Since purchasing the cookbook, I am systematically using several of them a week. It has opened up new options for my cooking. And,everything is just delicious!
When I first found out that I had a small allergy to wheat I was overwhelmed with everything I looked up and had no idea where to even begin. This book was super helpful. Not only does it have good recipes to eat, but the beginning of the book lays it out there, gives things that have what in them, things to avoid, and tells exactly what is going on with your body. It really helped me understand what I was trying to avoid. Even though my allergy is slight and I can still have wheat, it has helped be know what to avoid and kept in on the right track to feeling better, plus is good when I dont know what to cook!
My wife is Italian so the sheer thought of introducing gluten free options was almost grounds for divorce. But, I have to say, the recipes are great and extremely simple to prepare. Love this cookbook. Would recommend to anyone looking for healthy and smart options.
It looked great when I bought it. Looked at it. Great recipes. Wish it had some things I didn't already know, but great for people just learning how to cook or don't know what tasty food is. I lost it after the first week, so that tells you something.
It's pretty good - no food data is included - I am interested the cabs as well as no gluten/wheat - so many of the recipes were useless to me. Not the authors fault - mine for not reading more about the book before buying.
I thought I was going to die when I found out I was wheat sensitive, these recipes help me realize I still have wonderfull choices, without the wheat
I was convinced by this book that eating wheat is not particularly good for most people. I have avoided wheat for several weeks and feel better than when eating it. The recipes in this book have made it much easier. Most of them are good enough to make just because you like them.
Unlike many cookbooks these recipes were in a large enough print with enough white space to easily read while cooking. The book is great and loaded with many great recipes.
